The inline printing image inspection system is developed for undesirable conditions such as unclear patterns, color distortion, and pattern dislocation that occur during the printing process of printed products. 1. Industrial camera
Industrial camera is indispensable in the image inspection system. It is used to capture images like human eyes. Cameras can be divided into CCD cameras and CMOS cameras according to their photosensitive elements.
CCD cameras are more expensive, but the image quality, image transparency, and color richness are much better than CMOS cameras. CCD cameras can be divided into two categories: linear array and surface array according to the CCD photosensitive elements they use.
Linear array cameras are in the shape of “lines”. They can only process image information in units of lines. They have high resolution and high speed. They are mainly used in matching detection systems in the fields of industry, medical treatment, scientific research, etc.
Area array cameras can obtain information on the entire image at one time and are relatively cheap.
2. Lens
The lens is an important component in the image detection system. Its function is optical imaging.
The main parameters of the lens are focal length, depth of field, resolution, working distance, field of view, etc.
Depth of field refers to the distance range of the object before and after the best focus when the lens can obtain the best image.
Field of view refers to the maximum range that the camera can observe. It is usually expressed in angles. Generally speaking, the larger the field of view, the larger the observation range.
Working distance refers to the distance from the lens to the object. The longer the working distance, the higher the cost.
3. Image acquisition and processing unit
The most important component in the image acquisition unit is the image acquisition card, which is the interface between the image acquisition unit and the image processing unit. It is used to digitize the acquired image and input and store it in the computer.
The image-processing unit contains a large number of image-processing algorithms. After obtaining the image, these algorithms are used to process the digital image, analyze and calculate, and output the results.
4. Display unit
The display unit is an important part of the system interaction and is preset through the display and panel. After the preset is completed, the image acquired by the system will be displayed.
5. Light source (optional)
The light source is a factor that affects the input of the detection system and is related to the quality of the input image and the application effect.
In an environment without effective lighting conditions, it is necessary to select the corresponding lighting device to ensure that the image generated under this lighting condition can highlight the target information characteristics required by the user.
