Choosing the right web viewer inspection system is the fastest way to catch print defects — misregistration, ink dots, barcodes that won’t scan — without stopping your press. A strobe-synchronized camera freezes the moving web into a still image on your monitor, so the operator can zoom in while the press runs at full speed.

The Observer Series (Sichango Vision)
Sichango cameras use the company’s own 2 MP CMOS sensor and VLSI chip — the same platform that has shipped on hundreds of presses since 2011. The series runs from entry-level hand-move systems to the advanced Overseer tier with touch GUI, point-position scanning and dual-camera support.
Observer 4000M — The Best-Seller
The motorized flagship. The camera patrols the web automatically across up to 3 m of rail, so one operator can inspect the full print width from a fixed station.
- 30X optical zoom with 1–64X digital fine adjustment — resolve individual ink dots
- Auto loop shooting along the rail; dual-sensor position memory returns to saved positions

Observer 4000R — The Entry Model (Replaces the 3000)
The Observer 3000 has been discontinued and merged into the 4000R, which now serves as the entry model of the Observer family. It shares the 4000M camera platform (30X zoom, 90 × 67.5 mm view, 400 m/min) but keeps a hand-move traverse and adds a wired line-control remote keyboard (3–5 m) — console operation without the motorized rail.
Choose it when: budget is the constraint but you still want the proven Observer camera platform with remote console operation. Display options are confirmed at quotation.
Overseer 100 — Touch GUI, Point-Position Scanning
The high-end tier for wide-web rotary presses (0.5–6 m web width). Where the 4000M patrols one axis, the Overseer 100 adds a touch GUI and two advanced scan modes:
- PPS point-position scan: store up to 10 check positions across 5 jobs — recall any position with one touch
- ACS auto constant scan: the camera sweeps the X/Y axes or the full page continuously, hands-free
- Optional second camera for front/back or multi-position viewing; up to three monitors (VGA ×2 + HDMI)
- 10X optical zoom, 100 × 75 mm view, 2 MP CMOS with 1600 × 900 output, 10 shots/sec
- Dual-speed travel 50/150 mm/sec, CMYK color detection, AI one-key white balance, motorized back strobe
- Web speed over 400 m/min; split and image-in-image views for side-by-side comparison
Overseer 200 — Super-Large Field of View
Same advanced Overseer platform, built around a much bigger camera:
- 200 × 120 mm field of view — four times the area of a 100 × 75 mm system in one shot
- 14.4 MP camera, 1080P output, 20X optical zoom
- Touch GUI, PPS point-position scan, ACS auto constant scan, dual-camera support
- The choice for rotogravure and wide-web lines where fewer camera moves mean faster quality rounds
The Arise Lines (Chongqing Arise)
Arise systems are installed on Mark Andy, Nilpeter and Gidue presses across the USA, Europe and Southeast Asia, with OEM/ODM capability and stock models for fast delivery.
OR-A / OR-B / OR-C — Area-Scan Web Viewers
Still-picture monitoring in three area-scan configurations:

A different architecture: a line-scan camera composes the entire plate circumference into a single frame — no traverse needed.
- Configurable in 4K and 8K versions — the 8K reads the full plate at 8192 × 3 / ×6, 10-bit, 7 µm pixel, 65 dB dynamic range
- The 4K configuration suits webs up to 500 mm
- Fixed gantry over the web, field of view 100–2000 mm, nothing missed between camera positions
